| Sportsmanship is our Practice, Soccer is our Game |
'Sportsmanship
is our practice, Soccer is our game,' teaches and instructs the
children of our community in the exhilarating game of soccer.
Hunter is one of the old, non-profit clubs in the Delaware Valley
and is one of the original founding clubs of the Intercounty Soccer
League.
Hunter tries to blend the teaching of individual skills while at
the same time instructing team tactics and strategies in the playing
of the game. There is great emphasis on team work, comradery, sportsmanship
and discipline. We try to blend all of the above together with a
backdrop of fun. Hunter also maintains adult leagues and an adult
male team and at times, an over 30 team, while the teaching there
is certainly less foundational than the younger squads, Hunter's
senior team, as the youngsters, play for the love of the game and
the competitiveness of engaging an opponent. |
Hunter also tries to have something available for boys and girls
at all levels. In other words, Hunter Soccer Club will try to provide
to individual players the highest possible level of play for them.
Some players are not as skilled or as competitive. There should
be something available for them as well. From our own intramural
programs that begin at age 6 and go through to age 13, we also offer
travel teams at different levels at different divisions in the Intercounty
Soccer League for boys and girls starting at U-10 through to our
senior team (post college).
All of our coaches try to make individually skilled and team oriented
players out of all of the children in our Hunter community. |
