20th Annual Jack Walsh Memorial Soccer Tournament
Columbus Weekend, October 8 & 9, 2011

About:                

Hunter Soccer Club has been serving the youth of our community since 1962 and is one of the founding members of the
Inter-County Soccer League.  The Tournament began in 1992 to honor Jack Walsh for over thirty years of service to our kids, and the club.
Today the Hunter Jack Walsh Memorial Tournament is used to support our Scholarship Fund in which the club rewards those players who have represented Hunter Soccer Club throughout their youth and have also given back to the club through community service, becoming a coach or referee or mentoring our younger players.

Dates:                 

Saturday and Sunday October 8 & 9, 2011

Location:            

Hunter Soccer Club located in Glenside PA.
Matches will be played at facilities in Abington and Cheltenham Townships in Southeastern Pennsylvania

Sanctions:          

The Hunter Jack Walsh Memorial Tournament is an approved tournament of EPYSA.

Competition:      

Gold, Silver & Bronze levels of competition will be offered (where possible) for all Boys & Girls teams from age U9 through U17.
We will offer 8v8 play for all U9 – U11age groups.  U12 Teams will have the option of 8v8 or 11v11 play.  Age U13 and above will play 11v11.  All teams must provide proof of affiliation with their state association.  Each team must present a stamped roster, signed player pass and signed medical release form for all players participating in the tournament.

Teams:               

Rosters for all U9 – U11 & U12 (8v8) teams shall be limited to fourteen (14) players.
Rosters for all U12 – U18 teams playing 11v11 shall be limited to eighteen (18) players. 
Up to three (3) Guest Players are permitted at the Jack Walsh Memorial Tournament.

Format:              

Each team will be guaranteed three (3) games to be played over two days.  Championship games will be played for each
division.  All 8v8 play will consist of  two (2) twenty-five (25) minute halves.  11v11 play will consist of two (2) thirty minute halves.   USSF referees will officiate all games and games will be played rain or shine unless otherwise indicated by the Tournament Director.  First and second place awards will be given for each division.

Insurance:          

All teams are responsible for their own insurance.  In the event of an accident or injury while in
transit to or from, or while participating in the tournament, Hunter Soccer Club shall not be held liable.

Application:       

The entry fee is $475.00 (11v11 play) or $425 ( 8v8 play).  Payment may be made by Check or Credit Card and teams will not be accepted until payment is made in full.
 
Application available at www.huntersoccer.com  Deadline for all applications is September 17, 2011.
 
Teams will be accepted on a first come first served basis.  In the event your team is not accepted, for any reason, all registration fees will be returned.  If however, a team withdrawals after acceptance, for any reason, all registration fees will be forfeited.  Notification of acceptance will be via email to the address included on the signed application form.  All teams will receive schedule and direction information, via email approximately one week prior to the tournament.
In the event the tournament is cancelled for reasons beyond our control teams will receive a $200 credit toward next year’s tournament or a $100 cash refund.

Please send a check or money order made payable to:  Hunter Soccer Club along with the completed application form and team roster.
